Aesop Cop is one of my favorite projects to-date. Written by the amazingly talented Franklin Crawford, the series riffs on oddball small-town crime. Real police blotter reports are turned into Aesop-styled morality poems and then illustrated in an old-school fashion. My illustrations plus Franklin's incredible wit and talent and bizarre sense of humor elevate petty theft, shoplifting, strange noises, and loud-noise complaints to an almost mythical realm outside of time.
